Introduction

Established in 1940, Maxwell Adventist Preparatory School (MAPS) is a Christian institution offering Pre-primary, Primary and Junior Secondary education. The school is offering Competency –Based Curriculum (CBC) designed to promote holistic development.

The school is founded on the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s philosophy of education, which emphasizes holistic development in spiritual, intellectual, physical, and social dimensions. It operates within the church’s educational policy framework and the Kenyan government’s education policies and legal provisions.

School Location

MAPS is located along Jakaya Kikwete Road, approximately 2 kilometers from Nairobi’s city center. Key amenities, including a health center, churches, guesthouses, a community library, an aerobics center, banks, and high-security installations, such as the Provincial Criminal Investigation Department and the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission headquarters surround it. These vital amenities and a well-developed transport network ensure a safe and secure learning environment with easy access to Nairobi’s city center.
